ZINE + ROSARY RING

Often pitted against each other in our binary patriarchal society as the beautiful, pious virgin mother and the demon crone, the Madonna and Medusa continue to threaten male dominated oppressive power systems. Hidden under thousands of years of colonization, misogyny, and forced heteronormativity, both are the embodiment of a gender expansive divine feminine, accessing multifaceted and powerful ancient archetypes far older than the oppressive systems where they currently reside. 

The zine is 24 pages about the mythology of Medusa and the Virgin Mary, how their stories and images have been used and manipulated by those in power for their own gain, the qualities and symbols they share, and how to work with both by reexamining and rewriting traditional prayers. Each zine comes with a double sided rosary ring key chain, digitally printed on rosewood.
