GOP fundraiser and newly appointed postmaster general Louis DeJoy has implemented new “cost cutting” policies at USPS that eliminate overtime, order carriers to leave mail behind to speed up their workdays, and has drastically reduced office hours. In tandem with previous budget cuts and coronavirus related absences and staffing shortages, these damaging new policies are causing massive delivery delays.
